Birchbox February 2013

This month's Birchbox is one of the best ones I've received in while! The theme for February is Red Carpet Ready: "We've tapped experts from the hair, beauty, and fashion worlds to help you feel ready to conquer your personal red carpet - whether that's a big work presentation or your best friend's wedding." Okay, so let's address the thing on everyone's mind: yes, Birchbox sent out nipple cream for your lips. As mentioned above, the item is being cross-marketed as a lip product and, after using it as such, I have to say that it does work quite well! So yay!

I tried the concealer just now and luckily received a shade that works well with my skin tone. I'll definitely be using this product for undereye and blemish coverage - the consistency was great (not too thick). I'm happy to try the Protect & Detangle spray to help comb through wet hair tangles and it smells really yummy, too. Perfume samples are pretty much standard in Birchboxes - I'll add this to my purse to use on the go. The card says Couture La La a mix of mandarin, red currant, lily, and orange blossom.

Lastly, I'm a huge fan of candles so I can't wait to try this little tea light out. It contains notes of strawberry, mandarin, and gardenia. All good things in my book!

    1. I hope you get next month's box as well! And if you do, maybe they'll re-sample some of these items so you can try them, too! :) Also, BB's point system is really great (10 points for each item you review from your box) - it allows you to redeem points for full-size products!
