Liebster Award! I Was Nominated + Who Did I Nominate?

Thanks a bunch to Anastasia over at Glamorable! for nominating me for the Liebster Award! This award is given to up-and-coming bloggers (less than 200 followers) in recognition of their blogging efforts - how cool! Anastasia says the earliest-known mention of the Liebster Award can be traced to this German beauty blog from back in 2010. There's no actual prize, but it's fun to receive - you'll see why below!

So, here goes!

11 Random Facts About Me:

I am from a very small town - no stop lights, lots of dirt roads, numerous farms, and a graduating class of 136!
My favorite number is 9.
I'm a really bad liar.. I generally end up either laughing while trying, or give up and tell the truth 5 seconds in lol.
I was co-captain of the Varsity Cheerleading team in high school.
My favorite type of food is Italian and I don't like seafood. If it lives in the water, it's not going on my plate.
I despise "tricked out" pickup trucks that are like 8 feet tall and most likely require a ladder to get into - I've been known to mutter "is that necessary??" every time I see one.
My great-grandparents had 14 kids so my family is quite large - love it!
Spiders and rollercoasters are my biggest phobias.
I love to bake (especially cupcakes!).
I don't like when companies misspell their names so that all words in the name start with the same letter, e.g. Kids Kare or Krispy Kreme. I think this is called sensational spelling?
I love shopping at Meijer when I'm back home in the Midwest :)

Answers to Anastasia's 11 questions:

Why did you start blogging? I often research beauty products online and as such, have stumbled across some really cool and informative blogs. I decided to start a blog of my own that people could come to for the same reasons - I've been loving it ever since!
What is your favorite website or blog? Makeup Talk. I always have it open when I'm online :) Oh, and Facebook lol.
What did you want to be when you were a child? A marine biologist, a teacher, and for a brief point in time, I wanted to join the Coast Guard.
Do you have any pets? Yep! Two sister cats, Piper and Pepper.
What is your earliest memory? Traveling to Arkansas with my mom and grandma - I remember trail mix on a coffee table and walking down a big hill to a lake. I was about 1 1/2 years old.
If you could switch places with one person for 24 hours, who would it be and why? Taylor Swift on a tour date - I would love to have thousands of people sing along to songs I've written, being able to perform on stage, and just have the experience of being super-famous for a day!
What is your favorite nail polish brand and color? This is a tough one.. I'd have to say OPI's "Russian Navy" is one of the colors I reach for most-frequently. Love that bold shade!
What did you have for lunch today? A veggie burrito bowl from Chipotle.
What is your favorite restaurant? Does a bakery count? Because if so, my favorite would most definitely be a local SD cupcakery called Babycakes!
What is your ideal lazy day? A nice latte in the morning, reading a good book and catching up on social media during the day, a LUSH bath (complete with bath bombs AND bubble bars!) and hot cocoa with freshly-baked biscotti at night!
If you could describe yourself in just 4 words what would they be? Optimistic, sensitive, stubborn, and considerate :)
